Anecia JOhnson
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Anecia Johnson is a lifelong Chico resident as well as graduate of CSU, Chico. Having earned a bachelor's degree in International Business in 1987, Anecia has seen herself as a "global citizen", since childhood. She has worked in education, as a substitute teacher and instructional aid, and volunteer, as well as community educator.

In 2017 Anecia founded Amma Culture - Education, Sciences & Arts to instill pride in and respect for the African Diaspora which includes Black American history. She is, also, the owner of Anecia Johnson Speaks LLC.

Having grown up in a Northern California community with a, traditionally, 2% Black Indigenous and African American population, she and each of her siblings graduated from their hometown college, CSU, Chico.

MICKEY TAYLOR
SECRETARY

Mickey Taylor and family moved to Butte County 1976. She began working for the Community Action Agency of Butte County (CAA) where she worked for more than 30 years. Mickey held several positions during her tenure at CAA. She was the Program Manager for three community centers in the areas of Oroville, Paradise and Gridley. She was also the Program Manager of a five county food distribution program. Her last position with CAA was as the Director of the Esplanade House, a transitional shelter program for homeless families. Mickey worked briefly for the Torres Shelter upon its inception.

For the last portion of Mickey‘s career as a social worker, she held several positions at the Jesus Center, providing services to homeless individuals including shelter services to women and children. In 2019 she worked with FEMA and Catholic Charities assisting Campfire survivors become reestablished.

She has now retired from social work and is currently working at the American Cancer Society thrift store in Chico. Mickey is the mother of two, grandmother of seven and great grandmother of seven.

Stacey e. campbell

Stacey E. Campbell was born and raised in Oroville, California. She attended St. Thomas Catholic School, Oroville High School, Butte Community

College and Chico State University. Stacey worked for Medicare for thirteen years, where she started out as a clerk and moved her way up to a Fraud Investigator in the Fraud Department. Stacey worked as a Center Manager for a national Durable Medical Equipment Company. Stacey started her love of Sales and Marketing in the home health field where she worked for the last 14 years with local agencies. Stacey has recently changed careers where she is one of two Community Relations Director at The Terraces Senior Living in Chico.

Stacey has always been an overachiever, she has her Certificate of Completion in Pre-Law/Administration of Justice and Behavior and Social Sciences, Notary Public, Administrator license for the Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, Social Service Designee Certification, Life Coach Certifications in Life, Wellness and Motivation. Stacey is also a member/daughter of the IBPOEofW, located in Oroville.

Chico has been Stacey's home for over 30 plus years, where she resides with her family Craig and Victoria.
